More About the Class:

If cardio feels boring or jump rope feels intimidating, this class makes it approachable while helping you build coordination, rhythm, and skipping confidence. You'll learn jump rope skills in a fun, supportive way through simple combos and progressions. Expect guided warm-up, skill-building, rhythm-based cardio intervals, and cooldown. Time flies when you’re jumping around!

Designed for all levels with plenty of breaks, personalized tips, and skill progressions throughout. Bring your own rope or borrow one (extras provided). You’ll leave with practical jump rope skills you can take anywhere.

Participants will be invited to stay after class and keep the jump rope party going for another hour or so as a part of our March Jump Rope Meetup. :)

No minimum age! Moms and dads bring your kids and let’s jump rope remix cardio together!

STEP 1 - DONATE

Donate at one or more of this year's designated charities by clicking on its name below. The suggested minimum donation is $25/class, but feel free to donate more!

1) Downtown Eastside Women's Centre - provides supportive surroundings with meals, counseling, advocacy, and programs which nurture and empower self-identifying women (cis, trans, 2S), from all walks of life, who live and/or work in the Downtown Eastside.

2) KidSport Vancouver - Girls' Programming - cost can be a barrier for many families when they consider registering their child in organized sport. KidSport helps remove those barriers by providing grants for families in financial need to help cover the cost of sport registration fees. Funds raised from Workout for Women’s Day will contribute to KidSport Vancouver’s Girls Programs, to support girls to participate in after-school sports programs.

3) YWCA Crabtree Corner Housing Community - provides 12 units of supportive transitional housing for pregnant and parenting women, based on a harm reduction model. Residents have access to wraparound supports, including parenting programs, peer support groups for women who have experienced violence, free child care, a community kitchen, Indigenous programming and a wellness worker, all designed to help families thrive.
